When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information provided through your sign-in method (Google, email/password). When you use our app, we collect data about your running activity (miles, duration, dates) and pledges you create.

When you make a purchase, we collect your shipping address. Payment information is processed directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and improve the run4luv service
Track your running activity and pledge progress
Process merchandise orders and shipping
Display community statistics (anonymized)
Send you important account notifications

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate run4luv: Microsoft Azure (hosting and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), and Printful (order fulfillment). Community features show your first name and running activity to other users.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure authentication via Microsoft Entra ID, and secrets management through Azure Key Vault. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor.

5. Your Rights

You can access, update, or delete your account data at any time through your profile settings. To request complete data deletion, contact us at privacy@run4luv.com.

6. Children's Privacy

run4luv is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Information About Others

When you create a pledge, you may enter a first name of a person, pet, or concept you are dedicating your miles to. This name is stored in our database and may be visible to other users if you choose to share your pledge publicly.

We treat these names as personal information and protect them with the same security measures as your own data.

9. Payment Processing (Stripe)

We use Stripe, Inc. to process payments. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe—they are never stored on our servers.

10. Order Fulfillment (Printful)

We use Printful to print and ship merchandise orders. When you place an order, we share your shipping name, address, and order details with Printful so they can fulfill your order.

11. Health Data (Apple Health / Health Connect)

With your explicit permission, our mobile app can read workout data from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) to automatically log your runs and walks. We read only walking and running workout records (distance, duration, and date).

Health data is sent securely to our servers solely to record your running activity within run4luv. We do not sell, share, or use your health data for advertising or marketing purposes. You can revoke health data access at any time in your device settings.

12. Mobile App Updates (Shorebird)

Our mobile app uses Shorebird to deliver over-the-air code updates. Shorebird may collect anonymous device identifiers, IP addresses, and performance metrics to deliver updates reliably.

Shorebird does not collect personal information beyond what is necessary for delivering updates. You can review Shorebird's privacy practices at Shorebird's Privacy Policy.
